On Thursday 23rd August a group of Years 9 and 10 Kaiapoi High School students competed against other high schools around Canterbury in the annual Cantamath Competition. 

Both teams competed really well and came mid-field.

Year 9 Team: Luke Waldin, Dominic Legg, Hunter Henley and Sasha Henley.

Year 10 Team: Aidan Lipsham, Katelin Nelson, Emma Blackwell and Sam Anderson.

“It was a new experience for me. I enjoyed it heaps and it felt good to be around other smart people. The Year 10 team worked really well together and even though we didn't place, we tried our best”. - Katelin
