What an amazing trip to Palmerston North our Dance students had to compete in the DanceNZmade National Competition.

The weather was kind to us, the new Fly Palmy Arena venue was well-appointed, the Palmy community supported us with large audiences, and the students and teachers from around the country were welcoming, friendly and encouraging. Go dance!!!

Tessa Moffat, year 13, got 1st place in her Solo section and is the 2022 Yr13 Solo DanceNZmade Champion!!! She performed beautifully, with such control and musicality!

Alliance also had an awesome performance, but was up against some impressive contemporary dances and mind-blowing mega-crews.

Lili Batterbury inspired us all during judging by jumping up and starting the entire arena dancing on the stage and up in their seats! A special 'Spirit Award' mention went to her!!!
