In June each year the Ara Institute of Canterbury host the National Secondary Schools' Cookery Competition's regional challenge.

This year a team of eight KHS students from across the senior Hospitality courses competed in a number of different classes. The team not only brought home three bronze and two silver medals, but also a big confidence boost in their ability to be organised and work under pressure. Congratulations to all of these students. We look forward to competing with a bigger team next year in this rewarding competition.
