It seems that Kaiapoi High School is once again a trend-setter!
After announcing our school production to be ‘The Addams Family’, we discovered that two other local(ish) schools and MUSOC (at Canterbury University) are doing the same show! This modern interpretation of a classically popular TV series proved itself to be a crowd-pleaser.
Our wonderful, talented, and hardworking cast proudly presented The Addams Family over three nights in May and the audiences went wild over it! The toe-tapping songs, fabulous acting, and captivating dancing had people buzzing in the foyer at halftime and after the show.
Some of the feedback from our school community showed just how much they appreciated the talents of our students!

Once again, we would like to thank the wonderful cast for making this show such a success, and the hard-working teachers who tirelessly prepared the band and singers, choreographed dances, wrangled students into makeup, found and sewed beautiful costumes, made the programmes, and advertised the show. A huge thank you, also, to our Director, Paul Johnson, who brought out the best in all our students and created a show that they will be proud of for years to come.
We loved working side by side with Ms Quinn, Mrs Preston and the Hospitality team who designed, made and served delicious three-course meals for our VIP guests! The themed cafe was a special touch and the dry ice machine pouring out over Mr Kearney’s grave was a definite highlight for many of our diners.
