Gateway held its mid-year get together on Tuesday 16th June.  It was well attended by students, parents and caregivers. 

A number of employers also attended, such as Compass FM, Sport Canterbury, Artisan Cafe, Voco Body Retreat and DNS Builders, which was great.

The evening consisted of updates from myself, Mr Babonnick and Mr Ashworth, as well as excellent speeches from students Josh Mills, Nikita Leck and Emma Philip, who gave an insight into their Gateway work placement experience.  The Hospitality students provided delicious food, which was enjoyed by all, with excellent comments and feedback.

The students continue to work well, completing their Gateway work in class and representing Kaiapoi High School and receiving fantastic reports out in the local community.  We are very fortunate to receive support from a wide range of employers, from cafes, beauty salons, vets and computer companies, to farms, builders, radio stations and primary schools.
