The Level 2 Building class has made a great start to the year.

They have constructed and completed four standard-size picnic tables at 1.7 metres long, and have also designed and constructed two large 2.4 metre picnic tables. These two tables were ordered from Dave Coira at Energy Recovery Systems in Woodend. There were a few challenges for the students as each table has a 1 metre-long stainless steel drinks and ice tray in the middle so the students had to think about how they would brace the legs to the tops. The final outcome is amazing and the students should be very proud of their achievement. 

We are now starting on a major landscape project around the two sheds that have been built by previous Building classes for the Outdoor Education department and the Automotive class.
