Congratulations to the students that have been excelling in their sport outside of school.

Please make sure you let the sports office know of your sporting achievements outside of school, as we would love to celebrate your achievements with our school community. 

CONGRATULATIONS to the following students:

  • Bridie Herriott - Won the Ultimate Tee Design competition run by Paladin Sports alongside the Canterbury Tactix's designing her Netball Team her ultimate KHS Design which is going to be produced and presented to her team at a team training. Bridie also got to attend the Tactix Captain Run and met all the players which is very cool. Check out Bridie's design below. 
  • Finlay Blackwell - Selected to travel to Australia to attend the Polo School at Scone in NSW, also awarded a scholarship to play Club Polo in the summer competition. Finlay is also a member of the Crusaders' Horsemen and he had his first appearance at the game between the Crusaders and Fijian Drua.
  • Laura Roberts - Represented our school at the NZ SISS Dog Agility Championships 
  • Sam Woolhouse - Selected for NZ U14 Basketball Camp 
  • Alex Taylor & Saran Adams - Played for North Canterbury at the Basketball NZ U19 Nationals played in Rangiora
  • Ethan Blair - South Island Secondary Schools' Swimming Champs - winning six medals (1 x Gold, 2 x Silver & 3 Bronze) 
  • Pai Wynyard - National Cross Country Champs - 38th overall senior boys & 3rd place - Bronze medal in the Canterbury Relay Team
  • Ritai Solomon - Made the semi-finals at the National Junior 8 Ball Pool Championships
  • Korbin Symonds-Shakespeare - Runner-up in the Junior Pairs at the National Junior 8 Ball Pool Championships
  • Issac Kahu - Awarded his Black Belt in Karate with Seekonk Kai
  • Estelle Herriott, Jessie Pickering, Brooke Keates, Elenoa Drulidruli, Ruby Maclaine, Lucy Paterson, Eden Tane & Paris Hales - Selected for North Canterbury Netball U16 Rep Team
  • Beth Dunbar (Captain) & Freya Ginnever - Selected for North Canterbury Netball U18 Rep Team 
  • Daragh Hamilton-Davis - Awarded the Billie Armstrong Award & whistle for the Best Umpire at the Canterbury Country Field Day Netball Tournament
  • Terongomaianiwaniwa Williams, Tui Van Pelt, Te Ruapounamu Robson, Te Kura Jennings & Mihitai Solomon-Ritchie - Represented Te Waipounamu at the Kōtiro Maori Rugby League Nationals in Rotorua
  • Lucy Lucas - 1st Double Mini Tramp & 1st Trampolining at the Canterbury Secondary Schools' Trampolining Champs
  • Ella Van Meer - 2nd Double Mini Tramp at the Canterbury Secondary Schools' Trampolining Champs
  • Ally King - Selected for Canterbury Rugby League 16s Girls Team
  • Mihitai Solomon-Ritchie & Riley-Jayde Kremers - Selected for Canterbury Rugby League 14s Girls Team
  • Tiakihana Tainui-Davis, Kaedin Fettes - Selected for Canterbury Rugby League 13s Boys Squad
  • Jordan Eastmond, Tiāre Mansfield-Brown - Selected for Canterbury Rugby League 14s Boys Squad
  • Ben Ritchie, Vin Brown & Quin Brown - Selected for Canterbury Rugby League 15s Boys Squad (Good luck to the above-named players making the final cut to play in the Southern Zone Rugby League Tournaments)
  • Congratulations also to Whaea Danna (Teacher) - Selected as the Canterbury 18s Girls Rugby League Coach for the South Island Tournament in September; selected as the NZ Māori Rugby League 18s Kōhine Manager for the Pacific Youth Cup; also selected as the inaugural Coach of the South Island Scorpions 18s Girls' Team that will compete at the Nationals in October.
