PTA News

Wendy Howe —

The KHS PTA are an active group who are proud to be a part of the Kaiapoi High School Community.

The PTA is all about fostering the link between the school and its community. It is an enthusiastic and caring space where parents and whanau can engage with the school in a meaningful way. Relationship building is one of the group’s key activities.

But what do we do?

Over the last couple of years our focus has been on welcoming school families to school events. Most months all we ask is only 1 to 2 hours involvement from our members and, of course, to bring a sense of humour. J

We are not a fundraising arm of the school! Our school does an excellent job of managing funds and fundraising without the PTA. However, we have been privileged through the support of local businesses to raise small amounts through social events, such as the School’s very popular Quiz Night, held at the end of August each year. This year we have contributed funds to purchase the Year 13 gifts and a donation for Kapahaka uniforms.

All members of the school community are welcome to attend and be involved in activities, initiatives and events. Please keep up to date by checking school newsletters and this website page: www.kaiapoi.school.nz/our-school/parent-teacher-association/

The PTA can be contacted via the following email address pta@kaiapoi.school.nz. Please contact us if you have any questions about your family starting at Kaiapoi High in 2020 and we will do our best to help or point you in the right direction.

We always appreciate your help and time! We look forward to having you involved in the PTA in 2020, and look forward to meeting you at the welcome evening for parents and caregivers, being held in February 2020.
