Every year Compass FM holds an Introduction to Radio Day, where we invite Years 11-13 students from North Canterbury Schools.

Students learn about radio and the possibilities for a career path in the media industry. They take students through Sales, Announcing, Content, Music Research, writing and recording a commercial, and a representative from the NZ Broadcasting School attends to talk about Career path options. 

This year two Year 12 students, Andrew Lawson and Rebecca Hooper, took part. Near the end of the day they heard the commercials they wrote and recorded and were presented with a certificate.
