Level 1 Automotive students visited the NZ Trucking Show this term.

On Friday 9th March  the Level 1 Automotive Class visited The Trucking Show, held in Christchurch. The day consisted of numerous talks at trade stands, where students gained valuable snapshots into a range of different career options in the Trucking industry. The options they learned about included Automotive Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Motorcycle Technician, Panel Beater, Spray Painter, Tyre Technician, Driver, Parts and Accessories Merchandiser, along with various IT roles. 

Students met with companies like Fonterra, Bridgestone, TR Group and also had an interactive experience in the Trucking Association Safety Truck. The students came away with an understanding of all the different career pathways they may choose and how to enter them along with some valuable contacts for future employment.
