CACTUS is over for 2019! This term we had a group of over 20 students, including two of our Head Students, Flynn and Matt!

The sessions were made up of exercises, games, fitness testing and team-building challenges. A highlight of this term was getting to roll out fire hoses and use the water to knock cones over, with the help of members from the Kaiapoi Fire Brigade. 

The Longest Day celebrations began on Thursday 19th September with sleepover at school. The students woke up bright and early on Friday morning to pack up and head out to Mount Grey (Maukatere) for the day where they pushed themselves really hard to reach the top in two hours! With such a quick trip up the mountain, the CACTUS crew had time to head to Waikuku Beach for a couple of workouts before lunch. To finish the day, the students pulled with all of their might to drag two fire trucks from Blue Skies into the School.
