The Adventures of Alice in Horrorland

Maddy Dunn, Y10 —

Wow. Weeks of rehearsals later, a masterpiece was presented to the public in the form of our production.

It was a bumpy road, but in the end, it all came together like a jigsaw puzzle. There were so many friendships formed, and bonds made that won’t be broken easily.

“What an amazing experience, I loved every minute of it,” said Eliza McDonald. Eliza played the role of Alice, alongside me. Her highlight of the production was making so many new friends that love theatre as much as she does. She has done theatre her whole life. She added that this is only the beginning of her acting career.

The thrill of being on stage performing for so many people and peers was incredible. I can say safely that the ending performances were the favourite among the cast members.

“From the beginning of the production to the end, it has been a joyride. One I’ll miss,” said Talula Green who played the character Columbia from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. They also stated that “it was a memorable experience, I regret not knowing how incredible productions really are.”

The cast has had so many positive responses from our audiences and we’d all just like to say a huge thank you to the people that came to watch and support us. We hope you continue to support the productions in future years too.

A humongous thank you to the backstage crew, the teachers, the band, the makeup artists, the lighting crew, and last but DEFINITELY not least, the teachers. None of this could have happened without you. Thank you so much.

Even now, the cast has been coming together to do the time warp one more time. Thank you so much for joining and participating in The Adventures of Alice in Horrorland.
