In 2022 KHS students submitted artworks for selection to a student exhibition fostering Peace called "White Clouds in Common and Blue Skies Shared".

It also celebrated the remembrance of Rewi Alley who was a NZ educator in China. Six South Island areas have relationships in Hubei (Waimakariri with Enshi State). Rosie Jordan from the Waimakariri City Council facilitated the exchange. The three Kaiapoi High School students selected were: JJ Jones, Neve Rieseberg, and India Jenkins. The exhibition was held on the 14th of November.
