Te Rakiwhakaputa performed a 15 minute bracket at The Choral Extravaganza, held at the Rangiora Town Hall last week.

The Friends of the Town Hall hosted the event. The rōpū had been practising after school in preparation for this performance. Out of a 30-strong rōpū, half were newcomers to the stage. Congratulations to all the students involved, you did both yourselves and your whānau proud. Tū Toa, Tū kaha, Tū mai mātou!

Kaiapoi Children's Day

Te Rakiwhakaputa participated in the inaugural event held at Trousslett Park on Sunday March 5th. The students supported Matt Doocey during his opening speech. The rōpū had three different stations running for the children to participate in: Pānui Pukapuka -reading Māori stories, Mahi Putiputi - making Harakeke flowers and Tā Moko-Tā Moko - stencilling.
