Coffee and Cake Evenings
Our proactive approach to ensure a smooth transition for Year 8 students into high school is in full swing.
Besides the Open Night and visits to primary schools this term, our principal and head students will be engaged in our infamous 'Coffee and Cake' evenings early in term 3. These evenings provide the perfect opportunity for parents of Year 8 students to meet with us at their primary schools, raising any questions about the leap to Year 9. These will all be held from 7pm-8.30pm.
We encourage any parent to attend these events, where every query is welcomed and answered. It’s an evening designed to foster open communication and provide clarity about what to expect in secondary school. From academic expectations to extracurricular activities, no topic is off-limits.
In the spirit of transparency and honesty, we must admit there is no cake – only Tim Tams! These informal gatherings are all about making connections, easing concerns, and ensuring that both students and parents feel confident about the transition to high school.
If you know someone who would like to attend, let them know that they can join in with any other school’s evening meeting. Here is the current schedule starting week 2 of next term:
