  • 15th & 16th March School Photos taken.
  • 25th March Good Friday - school closed.
  • 28th March Easter Monday - school closed.
  • 29th March Easter Tuesday - school closed.
  • 15th April Term 1 ends. 
  • 2nd May Term 2 begins.

My name is Kim van Vuuren

I hold the privileged position of Assistant Principal, with a focus on Teaching and Learning, within Kaiapoi High School.

My teaching and leadership experience has been gained from two other fantastic Canterbury schools. My last 11 years have been at Cashmere High School and before that I was at Hornby High School. I was honoured to be a manuhiri and welcomed to Kaiapoi High School at the pōwhiri at the start of this year. This was a wonderful experience for me. I already feel part of a very dynamic team of staff and the students are showing me ‘how we do things here’, by living out the School's core values of respect, integrity, community and excellence. I am looking forward to meeting you all and becoming a part of the Kaiapoi community. Ngā mihi.
