We are very excited to announce our 2021 School Production.

After much consideration, we have selected The Addams Family.

This is a fantastic, popular production (tailored specifically for High School casts and audiences) that has a great range of lead performers, both male and female (and even one that can be cast either way!) There are opportunities for anyone who auditions to be involved (one of the best things about how we run productions here at Kaiapoi High School) and the set, lighting and costume designs have the potential to be incredible.

Performances

Performances will be held on Thursday 13th May, Friday 14th May & Saturday 15th May. Thursday and Friday nights will have VIP tickets available for a themed dinner before the show.  More information on this to follow.

Information regarding ticketing will be released on 1st March.

About The Addams Family School Edition

THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family–a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY School Edition has been adapted from the original Off-Broadway Production. The School Edition has been carefully edited, with additional director’s notes throughout, to make the show more producible for high school groups.
