It is with great pleasure that I can now announce our Head Students for 2019.

Dear Parents and Caregivers, We are now coming to the close of our school year and prizegivings are at the forefront of our thinking. I have included an exert from my prizegiving speech at the end of this article. I was really pleased that I managed to get my speech down to only eight minutes this year!

2018 has been another great year for Kaiapoi High School and, as the Board of Trustees, we are delighted with the way in which the whole school has settled into our new teaching areas.

This year we are farewelling Mrs Carol Carryer, who has rendered great service to the school over the last fifteen years.

Kaiapoi High School celebrated our second Sports Awards Evening in early November in the KHS Auditorium.

On Thursday 6th September, Senior Dance had its final workshop with a special treat… getting to catch-up with Erica Van Meer, who left KHS last year to attend Canterbury University.

On Tuesday 27th November a group of Year 10 students took part in the Year 10 Amazing Race at the University of Canterbury and had their first experience of university.
