Kaiapoi Fire Brigade team conquer Sky Tower!

Jason Miles —

Congratulations to the Kaiapoi Fire Brigade for completing their challenge to race up the Sky Tower in Auckland!

We supported the team by raising vital funds at our recent mufti day which go to a great cause - awareness for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand (LBC). Every day 7 children and adults in New Zealand are diagnosed with a blood cancer like leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. LBC is the national charity dedicated to supporting patients and their families, this support can last months or even years.

The team included former KNS students Katie Reeve and Connor Gibson, and former KNS parents Jason Gibson, Barry Woolford, and Jon Matthews.  Below you can see their times. Donned means they have a breathing apparatus on their back, donned and started means they are breathing through the mask. The quickest time for all competitors was around 9 minutes and the longest just under an hour - well done to the Kaiapoi Fire Brigade!!
