Kia ora , Welcome to term 2, as usual there are many things going on!!!

Mufti Day - Thursday

On Thursday we are having a mufti day to support our local fire service with their efforts to raise money for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand. A team from the Kaiapoi Fire Brigade will take part in the Sky Tower Stair Challenge. Students who choose to wear mufti are asked to donate a gold coin. The money that we raise will be donated to this worthy cause.

Pink T.Shirt Day

Friday 21st May is Pink T.Shirt day.  This is a day where we embrace our school Values and Beliefs to stand up against bullying in all forms.  As a school we do our best to address bullying when it occurs and to educate the students about what bullying is, how they can be 'upstanders' and what they can do if it happens.  All classes will be learning and doing activities to build their understanding.  On Friday the 21st May children are invited to be wear pink, it may be a pink bow or going all out and being creative with what they wear.  Cotton On are selling t.shirts too.  We will be collecting a gold coin donation.

Breakfast Club

We have a wonderful team of parents who are supporting our school Breakfast Club.  They provide toast to children on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning from the kitchen in the hall.  It is great to see many children making the most of this!!! To make this work we rely a lot on donations from different organisations in our community - eg New World.  At the moment we are going through a jar of jam a day!!!! We would be very grateful for any donations of jars of jam (probably strawberry or raspberry).  If you are able and want to donate a jar of jam, these can be brought to the office.

Parking outside the school

Just a reminder that parking outside the front of school on Williams Street is not allowed.  The area from Coops Terrace down to the other side of the crossing is a no parking zone.  Please do not park here to drop off your children as this blocks the way for traffic to get past if they are not using the drop off zone.  Check the below photos to clarify.
