Dawn Anderson —

A big thank you ..... Kia Ora, A big thank you to everyone who helped with the school fair, last Sunday. It was a wonderful day and we appreciate all the effort and support that everyone put in to make it a success. All our tamariki will benefit from this – thank you.

Mana Ake – Stronger for Tomorrow

At Kaiapoi North School we are fortunate to work in partnership with the Canterbury District Hospital Board and have the services of Mana Ake – a confidential well being/counselling service working in the school to support our children. Mana Ake is delighted to be able to offer the opportunity for parents at our school to meet with Chloe Kinajil [Counsellor/Kaimahi] to bring concerns or worries you might have around your child, and gain assistance or tips for things that might be helpful for your parenting or family life. Chloe is a trained counsellor with Mana Ake, and works in a number of schools in the North Canterbury area.

Times with Chloe will be available strictly by appointment, so if you would like to take up this option, phone or email Dawn Anderson

If you would like to know more about the Mana Ake services please check out their website – https://manaake.health/nz. Whānau will find many useful tips, ideas and resources on the ‘Supporting your Child’ page.

Library

Our Library is a bright, bustling place for our children to use. We are very fortunate to have Kathryn Lynskey as our Librarian. Kathryn has now expanded the Library area into the meeting room to accommodate our many books and to allow the children more room to read [when not in use for meetings].

Kathryn also has the Lost Property bin and second hand uniforms. She is available in the Library in the afternoons.

Have a wonderful and safe holiday.

Noho tawhiti, tū Kotahi

Stay safe and be kind
