Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L)

PB4L is a long-term, whole-school approach to help our school develop our own social culture that supports learning and positive behaviour.
It provides us with a process for considering both learning and behaviour across the whole school, and student by student.
Positive behaviour is a prerequisite to improving the engagement and achievement of our children. It can be learnt. Using a proactive approach, we aim to ensure that the environments around our children support positive behaviour.
At Kaiapoi North School we teach the behaviours we expect and reinforce those with ‘Ruataniwha Rewards’ and House points.
