NEWS FROM THE DEPUTY PRINCIPALS OFFICE
Kia ora. Well it is hard to believe we are at the end of another busy term and there has been much to celebrate over Term 3.
A personal highlight for me was watching the ‘Wearable Art ’creations glide across the catwalk and up onto the stage. We certainly have some talented designers at Kaiapoi North School - watch out fashion shows in Milan. As well we had many other activities including - Mainland Basketball, Koru Games, Hip Hop competitions, EPro8, Akoranga and the list goes on. We are very proud of the effort our children make to ‘grow excellence’. Well done everyone.
Safer Schools: ‘Safety at the School Gate’
Remember to use the crossing!
Constable Ken Terry has been monitoring parking on Allison Crescent, specifically when parents come to collect their children. Here are the tips he has suggested for the safety of all children.
Always park on the school side, even if this means walking further it does mean children do not have to cross the road
Reduce speed near the school
Do not park over driveways or double park
As summer approaches and the weather is warmer, encourage your children to walk, bike or scooter to school, especially with friends.
This helps :
* develop decision making skills
* enhance responsibility
* children learn to manage some risk
* builds resilience
Have a safe and wonderful holiday !
