We are certainly ramping up with events, activities and celebrations! Thank you for all of your whanau support of all of these, without your willingness to be involved and support with parent help, transport help and as an audience they would not occur. There will be a final newsletter sent home in the last week of term along with a letter with details about class placements for 2020.

On Tuesday evening we celebrated our Performing Arts opportunities at KNS. The variety and skill level of performances entertained the audience. We enjoyed performances from our ukulele group, choir, jump jam team, hip hop teams and school rock bands. Congratulations to our Year 8 trophy winners Ella Van Meer, Angam Vraich, Loucee Coutts, Aaliyah Newton and Lauren Clark! Thank you to our music teacher Mrs Claire Osgood, performing arts lead teacher Mrs Olivia McCarthy, and choir teacher Mel Poynter for your superb job in providing opportunities and organising these groups throughout 2019. There were many badges and bars presented throughout the evening.

What an impressive effort by almost 120 Year 5-8 children (and parents) who have now completed their 3 Peaks challenge for 2019! Tramping up Godley Head, Mt Richardson and Mt Isobel is a tremendous effort - something to be very proud of! Thank you to Mr Johnson, Mr O, Miss Hurley and Ms Matthews and the many parents who all made this possible.

We are very proud of Aaliyah Newton and Max Dunbar who were selected as part of the South team in the North Canterbury Basketball All Stars game on Sunday. Not only did they both contribute greatly but their South team won the game and Max was named MVP for the match - ka pai Max!
