Kaihere School Prepares for ANZAC Day Commemoration Through Art and Learning

Richard Reid - April 5, 2023

Kaihere School students are enthusiastically engaging in creative activities to honor ANZAC Day, fostering a deeper understanding of its historical significance while strengthening community connections and showcasing their artistic talents.

Kaihere School is eagerly preparing for the upcoming ANZAC Day Commemoration next term. Yesterday, Ngarua Class students enjoyed a fun-filled day of baking tasty ANZAC biscuits and creating poignant artwork inspired by the event's significance. Torehape Class will also contribute their artistic talents, with all the artwork to be proudly displayed in the Kaihere Community Hall during the commemoration.

These activities not only foster creativity and self-expression but also help students develop a deeper understanding of ANZAC Day's historical importance. Involvement in the commemoration strengthens community ties, encourages intergenerational dialogue, and instills school pride. As students collaborate on their artwork, they learn valuable teamwork skills while showcasing their artistic abilities. If you are going to the Kaihere Community Hall to commemorate  ANZAC Day we hope you  appreciate the artwork created by our talented students.
