Week 4 news
He tini ngā whetū e ngaro e te kapua iti - many stars cannot be concealed by a small cloud.
The whakatauki above is a reminder that while the rebuild can feel challenging at times with the lack of play space, storage and noise pollution, the big picture of the new school will be incredible. We will be able to reconnect as a school and have matching break times, operate our PALS groups more effectively, have space for conversations with whānau and have a welcoming school entrance.
It looks like the school's official opening will be at the beginning of term 2, 2023.✂ 🎀 I hope you are excited as we are about our new spaces.
We were treated today to a walk-through of the new building. To have the opportunity to show our new spaces to our tamariki was really special. The highlight seemed to be the library, which will be a warm and inviting space. Thanks so very much to Monty (site manager) from Naylor Love for putting on such a fantastic opportunity for our little people. They loved the BBQ, the iceblocks, and the gumboot throwing competition. Ka mau te wehi mō to mahi! Excellent work, Monty and the crew!
Covid-19 🤧
We have had six covid cases at school over the last two weeks. Please continue monitoring your children; if they are unwell, they must stay home.
Teacher only day Friday 18th November 📆
This day allows staff to prepare and write your child's end-of-year reports. These reports and assessment information will form the basis of discussion for parent interviews in week 8.
Kelly Club is open for a full-day programme should you need it. See the advertisement below.
