Susan Oldfield —

What a busy term we have had. With only one week to go until the holidays the term seems to have rushed by.

What a fun morning we had last Friday when we all went in buses to the Forsyth Barr Stadium for a Sport Otago  fundamental skills fun morning. Kaikorai Valley students were there to support our students on each of 8 different stations. They provided a variety of fun games  for each group. See the photos at the end of the article.

It was great to see the turnout in our school t shirts, the children looked amazing. There are still some children without school t-shirts. Please make sure you get one from the school office before we go on our next school trip.

Our third year student teachers have all finished their postings and classes now have their teachers back. Thanks to our students for providing a fun and educational programme while on posting. We wish them all the best as they start to apply for jobs.

Term 4 means sunhats need to be back in tote trays ready for the hot weather!!!!! If your  child has lost their sunhat please get a new one from the office. They must be clearly named please. It is compulsory to wear a school sunhat outside in Terms 1 and 4.

Next Term our big focus is 'Influence'. We are looking at this concept through the arts. We will be looking at famous artists from NZ and beyond. Each class will look at different aspects of influence.

The Juniors have a sharing presentation planned for parents on Thursday 6th  of December at 2.00pm. More details nearer the time.

Have a restful and healthy break. Hopefully the holidays are a chance for all those bugs to go away. We want to see healthy children back at school in Term 4.  Happy holidays .
