New Zealand Sign Language is essential for Deaf people in education, health, workplaces and to be able to participate equally in society.
This past week was New Zealand Sign Language week. One of our teacher aides, Mrs Barnes, has been studying NZSL in her own time. Some classes had the privilege of having Mrs Barnes in their classes to learn how to sign the alphabet and their names.
