We have received the first set of master plans for the school. Unfortunately, we cannot share them with you yet, but I can tell you that they look at all of the options available to the school and the Ministry of Education within the 7 million dollar budget that has been set aside.
The school has many complex problems associated with it including historical buildings, protected trees and multiple levels of uneven land.
The plans look at building on the current court space, between the area of the existing hall and the junior block with a variety of one and two-storied buildings.
All of the options involve a single classroom with a variety of shared and quiet breakout spaces attached and will be a significant improvement to what we have now.
The next stage is to finalise the four options and have them priced before a decision can be made to go to detailed designs.
