Childrenā€™s eczema study

Our childrenā€™s eczema study is now recruiting, and we are looking for volunteers aged 2-12 years with a doctor's diagnosis of eczema to test a novel mānuka oil-based topical treatment. Volunteers must be able to travel to the participating pharmacy in Dunedin. However, we can offer assistance if requested. They will be given study treatment to apply twice daily for six weeks and answer a weekly questionnaire about their eczema symptoms. Participants will return to the pharmacy six weeks later for a second visit. All study medication is free, and volunteers will be compensated for their time and travel expenses. I have attached the parent/guardian information sheet, which contains more detailed information about the study.

Elements nature-based play programmes

Elements nature-based play programmes are proud to announce programmes in the summer holidays. Fields, trees, and creeks - children exploring, playing and learning while being active and imaginative in nature is what Elements is about.

Our environments are fantastic for both the physical and cognitive development of children. Our services may also help parents struggling to find quality programmes for their children while they must be at work over school holidays. Our senior team members are teachers on their own 'holiday'! Elements programmes are for children aged 5-13yrs. Although you may consider the location too far from your school zone, we find families are happy to travel for their children to attend our quality programmes, especially over summer when there is flexibility in work hours.
