Week 3 Principal's news

He oranga ngākau, he pikinga waiora ~ Positive feelings within you enhances wellbeing.

Welcome to Willow - we hope you have a happy time at Kaikorai.

Week 4 at Kaikorai will be dedicated to 'Wellbeing Week'. It's an opportunity for us to focus on the essential practices that help maintain our overall well-being. By emphasising this theme, we aim to raise awareness among our tamariki about the significance of self-care and personal well-being.

One of the most rewarding moments of my day is when I greet our children at the gate in the morning. I find great joy in this routine for various reasons, but the primary motivation behind it is to personally acknowledge each child by their name and share a smile and a chat. This simple gesture conveys my genuine care and enthusiasm for their presence, letting them know I value and look forward to seeing them daily. It certainly enhances my well-being, and I hope there is a positive in it for your children.

Thanks to our Parents' Group for their latest fundraiser, ' Bakehouse on Bond', specifically Kelly, for her organisation of the orders and deliveries. All the money raised comes back to the classrooms - this term, we have purchased play-based toys for the juniors and lunchtime art supplies. Thanks for your support.

As always, please reach out if we can help in any way and for those celebrating Mothers' Day on Sunday, please enjoy.
