NEAR MISS AT 3 pm 21st September

*Please talk about road safety with your children - we had children cross the road and then stepped into a traffic stream yesterday. It was a very near miss.

A reminder to you as drivers or people that pick up your children.

DO NOT do U-turns on Wright or Tyne Street at key times (8:30 a.m.-9 a.m.) (3 p.m. - 3:20 p.m.)

DO NOT park in our neighbours or our school drive and reverse out

DO NOT park your car and wait in the DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP-only zone

DO NOT park over yellow lines or where there is a no-parking sign

DO NOT get angry at me, my team of volunteers or my staff for asking you to keep children safe and drive responsibly.

I recognise this is not a very positive message, nor my usual tone. However, we have had several near misses, and my job is to keep our precious tamariki safe.
