Te Rā Kaiako o Aotearoa - Aotearoa Teachers' Day 2024
Today is a day to recognise kaiako, their hard mahi, and their valuable role in the education of tamariki.
The theme of the day is:
Celebrating
Affirming
Collaborating
I am incredibly grateful for each of our wonderful teachers at Kaikorai. Every teacher brings unique skills and strengths, but they all share one thing in common: a deep commitment to keeping our tamariki at the heart of everything they do.
If you can, thank your child's teacher for everything they do.
Jump Jam 🕺🏻
This afternoon, I’m off to Ōtautahi—Christchurch to cheer on our Jump Jam team as they compete in the National Champs tomorrow! I can’t even begin to count the hours these jammers, along with their incredible coaches—Miss Hardie, Miss Sims, and Miss Youngs—have dedicated to this event. From perfecting choreography to sourcing costumes and handling all the admin, they’ve put in a tremendous effort. It’s going to be epic, and I can’t wait to share the results with you!

Athletics Day
Yesterday was an outstanding day at the Caledonian! I was so impressed by everyone’s positive attitude and enthusiasm for getting involved in a fantastic sports day.
A huge thank you to Miss Sims for organising the entire event, as well as to our whānau helpers, student teachers, and the amazing Kaik staff team for their hard work and energy throughout the day.
Class placement 2025
The Leadership Team are looking at the composition of classes for 2025.
When creating class placements, we consider many factors. If there are additional important factors that we may not be aware of but should consider, please schedule an appointment with Beth by November 15th for further discussion. To make an appointment, please email Beth principal@kaikorai.school.nz
Classes will be published in the school report on 6th December, and no changes will be made after this time.
