Senior Syndicate July news

Read on to find out what has been happening for the Senior team.

What a great term it has been with Kaikville, book week, a disco and a  drills and skills session. It has been excellent that we have seen so many of you this week for parent interviews and have been able to discuss your child's written report with you and talk through their next learning steps - both academically and socially. If you ever have any queries about your child and their learning please don't hesitate to get in touch, you don't need to wait until a scheduled interview time.

Our big focus for next term is going to be around How can we tell our story - the story of Kaikorai Primary School's 150th celebration! The learning is going to be based around the history of Otago, Dunedin and Kaikorai Primary School and telling our story. We have our school production in Week 9 of next term, that too will be linked around our 150th. There will be a lot of dance, drama, and performances happening next term and some classes have already been engaging in drama games and activities to lead into this learning.

Lastly, best wishes to Ryan Inglis as he embarks on a new journey and we welcome Mark Pickering into the Senior Syndicate from next term.

As always, thank you for your ongoing support.

Beth Downie and the Senior Syndicate team.
