Senior Syndicate news

Kaikville was simply superb! The leadership that was seen by so many of our senior syndicate was outstanding! The learning that has taken place throughout the term has been world class. I know many of your children would have been talking for weeks about what Kaikville means to them and what they got out of it. Last week in the playground I overhead "this negotiating is really hard work, do you think they will accept our deal"  I think that sums it up - lead by the children for the children! I cannot thank our parent and wider community enough for their support of Kaikville. We had university lecturers, artists, travel agents, game designers, marketers to name a few, act as our experts and providing that real-world context for our learners. Book week has been a fantastic follow on from Kaikville and again allowed our senior students to show leadership to the younger members of our school. We have loved our daily buddy reading with the juniors and the middles and we have loved having other teachers reading their favourite books to our classes. This is a great quote from Dr Seuss that sums about reading to our children "You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child.”
