Junior News

Wow, what a fantastic year 2019 has been! We have been busy this term with lots of fun, exciting learning activities. Last week we had a craft swap where the children got to visit each classroom to do a different holiday craft. It was fun to work with each class and the children created some beautiful decorations to bring home.

We were lucky to go and see the Kavanagh Christmas Show last week which was full of festive singing and dancing. Then later in the week we saw our very own Kaikorai students perform a Christmas musical, Shapin’ Up Santa! It was a wonderful show and we loved seeing everyone performing on stage.

We had a fantastic trip to the Otago Museum on Monday. The children did a treasure hunt around the Museum and got to visit the Tropical Forest and Tūhura Science Centre. It was a busy but very enjoyable day! A big thank you to the parents who came along and supported the trip, we couldn’t do these trips without you!

A big thank you to Susan Oldfield for her work starting up Room 11 this year. It has been great having her back in the junior syndicate and we appreciate all of the hard work she has done this year.

Again, thank you all for your amazing support throughout this year. We wish everyone a wonderful holiday break taking lots of time to rest, relax and enjoy. Happy Holidays and see you in 2020!
