Week 7 news

Te piko o te māhuri, tērā te tupu o te rākau | The way in which the young sapling is nurtured, determines how the tree will grow.

Life Education visits 🦒

We thoroughly enjoyed having Rachael and Harold visit this week. Their lessons have been incredibly valuable, and I hope their impact has extended into your home. Discussing emotions and feelings, resilience, healthy eating, and being a good friend are so important and really shape our Kaik Kids.

School reports ✏

Our teachers have been diligently writing reports. These reports should celebrate your child's progress and achievements, identify areas for improvement, and clearly describe their attitudes toward learning and effort. We look forward to the whānau-teacher learning conversations in week 10 to further discuss these reports and outline the next steps for your child. Please mark 2nd or 3rd July in your diary for this important kōrero.

Rippa Rugby tournament 🏉

We have not had many registrations for this sports day. For more information, please read Miss Wilson's article in this newsletter.

Sickness and illness 🤧

As with this time of year, we have many illnesses and sicknesses around. If your child is away from school, please ring or email the office (rather than the teacher), as these messages are often missed, and Sharon/Hannah spend a lot of time following up on absences.
