Week 10 Deputy Principal's News
Kia ora whānau,
We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter break and enjoyed some well-deserved rest and relaxation with family and friends.
This week was a short one, but full of exciting activities and learning opportunities for our students. Please note the following highlights:
Beth's Absence: Beth is currently away overseas attending a conference. We wish her safe travels and look forward to her return next week with new insights to enrich our educational programmes.
Swimming Program: Our Junior (Pīwakawaka) and Middle (Tūī) syndicate students have started their swimming sessions. We prioritise water safety and skill development, ensuring our students gain confidence and competence in the water.
Draw Exploratorium: Our Senior (Kererū) classes continue to have in-class art lessons run by the Dunedin Public Art Gallery, sparking creativity and artistic exploration.
Please note the BOT has approved a teacher-only day on Friday, May 31st, for staff to work on the refreshed curriculum. School is closed on this day; Kelly Club is open if you wish to book your child in.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me, Kristen Ferguson, Deputy Principal, at kferguson@kaikorai.school.nz.
