On Tuesday, we farewell our Year 6 crew, including Mrs McDowall and Miss Sims, as they head down to Pukerau and Camp Columba for 3 nights. School camps are an integral part of the Kiwi school EOTC experience. It is timely to recognise the incredible amount of time that it takes to organise an engaging, active and fun EOTC experience. I know our Year 6s will have a challenging and exhausting time at camp completing abseiling, kayaking, high ropes, bushcraft, rafting building and team-building activities.
Thanks to Bridget for her incredible mahi, which included applying for grants, fundraising, and every other logistical aspect of an EOTC experience. I look forward to spending Wednesday with our Year 6's next week.
As we enter the final weeks of the school year, it’s natural for students ( parents and teachers, too!) to feel a little tired or perhaps anxious about class placements or transitioning to the next stage of their school journey. During this time, I encourage everyone to maintain consistent routines and focus on the positives and the gold in each day. By remembering our school values as the foundation of all we do and communicating with kindness, we can ensure a smooth and positive finish to the year.
