Principal's news

He rau ringa, e oti ai — With many hands the job will be finished.

Property news  🦺

Work has begun on the next stage of the rebuild. We have access for the trucks at the end of Tyne Street from the backfield (photos below). The hall has come to the end of its life and will soon come down. The old junior playground and block will be demolished soon after. This obviously means we will be temporarily losing more play space. We are taking groups of children down to Nairn Street Park for lunchtime play and class PE when the weather is fine. Also, the MOE has kindly offered to pay for some outings. We have plans in place for a school picnic at Woodhaugh Gardens and other off-site adventures when the weather allows.

I encourage you to come to the school grounds and look at the scope of work from a different angle to realise the project's magnitude and how amazing it will be on completion.

Please see the letter attached below from Naylor Love regarding Tyne Street access.

Uke jam on the hill

Mrs Kumar took a bunch of keen ukulele players to jam with the Hills Cluster players yesterday. They performed a variety of waiata, including pepeha by 660 and a waiata that was written and performed by a former Kings' High student. It was fabulous to see Kaikorai representing on the musical stage! Ka mau te wehi!
