Hill’s Cross Country

Almost 70 children took part in the Hill’s Cross Country at Bishopscourt. There were an incredible number of enthusiastic and keen runners and as usual Kaikorai kids performed very well.

Eleven Year 5/6 children have gone forward to the Otago Cross Country Championships and 6 of our runners were medalists.

Congratulations to our medalists: Holly Rowcroft, Ben Sinclair, Alexander Batchelor, Anabelle Batchelor, Cormac de la Harpe, Molly Ballard.

Also selected for the Otago Champs : Emma Grey, Imogen Morey, Caleb Forde, Fergus Oberlin Brown, Loek Van Broekhoven, Jarn Hollows and Ella Southby.

Chess

Kaikorai chess players have participated in two chess tournaments over recent weeks. In one event, Stijn Van Broekhoven was placed third. For others, these were opportunities to play in their first tournaments and this proved to be a great learning experience.
