This is an excellent way to introduce your child to snow sports as the ski field offers reasonable rates to schools, which we in turn pass on to you. It is your responsibility to organise your own transport and accommodation for this weekend and to look after your child for the day.

Cardrona ski field stipulates that to get these cheap rates we need to be organised well before the morning rush. It is essential that you agree to be at the base facility on the mountain by 7:30am. The other requirement is that we have 15 people for each day. It is important that we don’t have people pull out on the day if the weather is not perfect or the snow is not fresh powder! Cardrona have also stipulated a higher ratio of adults to students and therefore every family must have at least one child skiing.

Finally, we need to present to Cardrona a very detailed list of everyone’s needs so please take the time to fill out the online form correctly, for each person skiing/boarding, by Friday the 30th of August.

Friday 6 Sept - Last chance to cancel and get a full refund. You will be charged for everything unless you have a doctors certificate after this point. No matter what the reason you need to pay the $33 lesson after this date.
Friday 20th September - all payments made.

Payment for this trip will be paid the week after the ski trip – this makes it easier for us as we don’t need to sort out refunds etc.

The cost for adults and children:

Lift and lesson = $75

Lift, lesson and hire = $100

Please note the lesson is compulsory. It is your choice whether to attend or not but you must pay for it.

Note from Cardrona regarding siblings Under 5

Children under 6yrs receive free lift passes. Children under 5yrs who are travelling as part of a family with school age children can not participate in school group lessons. Under 5’s are welcome to rent ski equipment at the NZ school group rates in which case they will need to be listed on the confirmation form, but will NEED to ski with their parents.  Alternatively, Under 5’s can be booked in advance to our fully licensed childcare facilities: the Cardrona Nursery & Ski Kindy.
