Road Patrol

Hello KPS families, We need five more awesome families to step up and volunteer for road patrol, to help keep our kids safe.

Without more parent volunteers, the Wright St pedestrian crossing will not be monitored before school from 11 September until the end of term. If you can volunteer for a week per term of before school or after school sessions, please get in touch. If you can't commit to a full week but can fill for absences or regularly cover one day every week, also please get in touch. Please contact: the Principal, the school office or email roadpatrol@kaikorai.school.net

Thanks!

Sports News

Winter sports has now come to an end and it's crazy to think we are already beginning to think about summer.

Sport has been busy over the last two terms at Kaikorai with 2 competitive hockey teams, Year 0-2 hockey skills sessions, 4 netball teams and 6 basketball teams. We have been incredibly proud of the progress and sportsmanship that our children have shown. As always a big thanks must go to parents who give up their time each week to coach and transport the children.

On the 14h of August almost 60  of our Year 4-6 children competed in the Hills Cross Country competition. It was fantastic see Kaikorai represented so largely at this event. A special mention to Rhys Beattie who placed 2nd in the Year 4 boys, Myles Lott 3rd in the Year 5 boys, Anabelle Batchelor 1st in Year 5 girls and Holly Rowcroft 3rd in the Year 6 girls. 13 Year 5 & 6 Kaikorai students placed in the top 10 and competed in the Otago Primary Cross Country Champs today. We wish them all the best!

Over the next few weeks registrations will be sent our for futsal, touch and t-ball.
