Reflecting on the year 2023, what a remarkable journey it has been!
This year marked the introduction of play into our PBL programme, professional development in mathematics for teachers, swimming, a trip to the planetarium, cross country, athletics day, a visit to the movies, and so much rich learning. Alongside these, we celebrated significant milestones such as turning 5 and the first days of school. Time indeed flies, and amidst the whirlwind, it's easy to overlook these special moments.
None of these experiences would have been possible without some truly exceptional people. Firstly, I want to thank our dedicated junior staff: Courtney, Kelsey, Paula, Nicole, Tony, Nicky, Kristen, Maggie AK, Sue, Kelly, Margaret, and Becky. Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to our little people. You consistently go above and beyond, making Kaikorai the best place and providing our children with the optimal start to their school life. I am aware of the countless hours spent away from your families, and I hope they relish having more time with you during the summer break. Now, it's your turn to put your feet up, relax, and create special memories!
Secondly, we thank you - our ever-supportive families. Your participation in school events and your efforts at home to nurture your child's learning is truly appreciated. Parents, grandparents, caregivers, uncles, aunties, and siblings – thank you! It is undeniably a collective effort.
Lastly, our Kaik Kids! Your joy, laughter, and love, as well as the delightful 'aha' moments during learning, bring immense joy to our hearts. You truly make our job the best in the world!
As this is my last newsletter, I want to personally thank all of you for making my time at Kaikorai so incredible. I have absolutely loved teaching so many of your children and being involved in their sporting achievements. I am leaving with a full heart and fond memories!
