-Polyfest 11th-15th September. We are waiting to hear which day we will perform.


Term 3 Project-Based Learning

Our driving question this term is: How Can We Encourage Healthy Living for Ourselves and Others?

Students are currently in the process of developing their ultimate project aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle. Our students have devised ways to advocate for and endorse healthy living.

PALS

Our Physical Activity Leaders have organised a lunchtime soccer competition featuring ten teams and approximately 150 children. In the upcoming weeks, the grand finals will see two teams competing for the coveted title of this year's World Cup Football Champions!

Year 6 Camp

Thank you to the parents who attended the camp meeting last night. I know you'll all be as excited as we are about heading to Camp Columba this year.

If you have yet to receive emails regarding camp fundraising and camp information. Please let me know; important information will be sent to families soon.

We can take a maximum of ten parents with us this year and will give priority to those who can attend for the whole week, those who have helped frequently with fundraising and those with skills and experience in the outdoors.

All parents are required to be Police Vetted before attending camp.

We will attend school camp from Tuesday the 28th of November to the 1st of December.

Our camp this year will be held at Camp Columba, 9772/89A Kaiwera Road, Pukerau 9772

Below is the proposed timetable for the week. Please be aware that some minor changes may happen before camp.

Tuesday 28th November

-Children/staff to travel to Camp Columba. Parent helpers to take their own vehicles

-Lunch at Camp Columba; please provide your child a packed lunch and bottled water on the first day.

-Orientation walk and scavenger hunt, setting up bunk rooms and camp boundaries.

-Evening Programme

Wednesday 29th of November-Thursday 30th of November

Students are in 5 groups and will rotate all activities over two days:

Activities may include abseiling, kayaking, pond swims, flying fox/kiwi, rock climbing, orienteering, bushcraft, frisbee golf, speed slide, bouncy pillow, waterslide and team games.

Friday 25th November

Pack up and clean up day.

Visit the pool in the Gore Multi-sport Centre for a leisure swim.

Arrive at Kaikorai School by approximately 3 p.m.

It is a requirement for every child attending camp to have this form completed by a caregiver.
