South Island Regional Chinese Bridge Competition and New Zealand Chinese Calligraphy Competition

The annual Chinese Bridge Competition and Calligraphy Competition are now up and running. Please find the notices attached in this mail.


The MLA in your school will help and tutor the students who are interested in these two competitions.

The competition is hosted by Confucius Institute at the University of Canterbury (CIUC) and supported by Confucius Institute Headquarters (Beijing).

New Zealand Chinese Calligraphy Competition

As previous years, CIUC and Future Learning Solutions for Languages are jointly organising the 11th New Zealand Chinese Calligraphy Competition (2020).

The Calligraphy Competition is open to all students of New Zealand schools and tertiary institutions. Both native and non-native speakers of Chinese are welcome to enter. And there is no limitation on the number of participants. Winning entries are collected into book published by CIUC.
