Well done to the following students for success in out of school activities
Angus Hollows won the Shotput for the grade 8 boys. Archie Gordon won the Vortex Throw and Longjump and was placed 2nd in the 100m, 80m and 60m sprints. Julia Hodgson got 3rd in shotput and 3rd in Discus, girls grade 7. Sophie Wellington got 3rd in girls grade 7 vortex throw. Maddox Adamson got 3rd in 60m, 80m and 100m, Boys grade 9.
The Otago Team to compete in Christchurch was also named at the champs. Athletes must compete in 4 events and score an aggregate of points to contribute to the teams’ overall score. The team is made up of 6 members from each age group and included from Kaikorai School.

Levi Lu and Jayden Lu - both represented Otago Badminton in the U13 grade, they competed in the Brooke Cup 2019 Tournament held in Invercargill on 03/03/2019. The brothers won their individual singles games and the doubles games.
Tilly Clark - Tilly won bronze medal at the Otago/Southland Combined Marching Championships
Elizabeth Dearden - Diving Otakau Learn to Dive Junior Diver of the Year 2018
Mackenzie Sheridan - At the end of 2018 Mackenzie got selected to one of the Weetbix kids. She was part of a photo shoot in Auckland for the Weetbix boxes and also did filming for media release. This was such an amazing experience for Mackenzie and is very excited to take part in her second Weetbix in triathlon in March 2019.
A sport filled three weeks for the middle and senior students.

Visit this articleOur PAL role for our 2019 students is to encourage students in our school to participate in sport and physical activity. This years training for PAL includes No Exceptions Training (NET), an inclusion training course on adapting sport to include physically disabled New Zealanders. This training will be delivered by a Halberg Disability Society advisor, in conjunction with Sport Otago.
