Tiaho Trust with the support of the National Enabling Good Lives Leadership Group is holding a community forum for Disabled People and their whanau in Whangarei with a view to establishing an Regional EGL Leadership group in Northland.

Enabling Good Lives (EGL) is a new approach to supporting disabled people that offers greater choice and control over the supports they receive, so that they can plan for the lives they want.

When: 21st March

Time: 10am – 2pm

Where: Discovery Settlers Hotel – 61 Hatea Drive

There will be guest speakers from the National Leadership Group who will speak on:

• Understanding the EGL approach and the opportunities EGL presents
• The experiences of EGL operating in the Waikato and establishment of leadership groups and RLG.
• Foundations to forming a Regional Leadership group in Tai Tokerau.

We are encouraging disabled people and their whanau to attend this community forum.
