With Term 3 coming to an abrupt end for Sport we are still finishing on a high. Our Girls 1st XI Hockey Team are playing their quarter finals tonight vying for a spot in the semi finals next Friday. Whist spectators are unable to go and support them at their game due to Covid restrictions, we wish them all the best .We also have our Open Boys competing in the Northland Rugby 7's competition in Kerikeri next Tuesday which will see them competing for one of two spots to qualify for the NZ Condor 7's to be held in Auckland at the end of the year. We will be keeping our fingers crossed for both of these teams. We are also well under way with our Volleyball programme here and are seeing some amazing talent on the court already by our Juniors and also our Senior Girls. Senior Boys, watch this space....your up next term! We are hopeful that Covid restrictions will lessen and allow the North Island Junior Volleyball Championships to take place in Auckland in November as we prepare our Junior teams for this.Looking on to Term 4, while our Seniors prepare themselves for exams events for them will take a break which means the calendar opens up for more Junior events. There is lots to look forward to, including: Junior Cricket, Badminton teams, Touch Rugby, Rip Rugby, Volleyball, Golf etc. Just remember in order for us to plan for these events we are relying on the students registering their interest at the Sports Office when they are advertised. Any queries, please contact the Sports Office.
