Over the past few weeks our Year 9 tauira (students) have been learning about "Life on Mars" and considering how we might make it happen in future, by creating habitats for human beings to survive on.

This was our final group project-based learning experience for 2023 in Junior Science, with the concept and teaching suggestions coming from our very own Ms Monique Lane. We've all learned heaps about the other planets and 'celestial objects' in our solar system this term, so it was awesome to share our understanding in such a hands on way!

The photo's for today's article are from our 9 Miromiro core class this past week, so see if you can spot some familiar diorama pieces (and/or hands n' faces!). If you ask your own Year 9 student at home, they may also be able to tell you all about their own Science learning."
